EMBILTA'S origins
Our Story
Named after the embilta, a traditional Ethiopian wind instrument, our restaurant was founded in 2011 as a celebration of culture, flavor, and family. Just outside Atlanta, we’ve created a warm, welcoming space where guests can experience the bold spices, rich traditions, and plant-based dishes that have been passed down through generations. At Embilta, every meal is a tribute to our roots.

I love this place. Great prices, friendly atmosphere, and even better food. Veggie special is phenomenal and enough for 2. The best place in Atlanta!
Vivian C. Google ReviewsThis is not a fancy, upscale, Michelin Star restaurant. It’s kind of a hole in the wall. A beautiful hole, with delicious food, endearing service and an incredible personality.
Sam O. Google ReviewsWe stop here anytime we are in Atlanta. We love this food! This place puts most Ethiopian restaurants to shame! The owner is a sweet lady that will make sure you leave full.
Stephen Dockery Google ReviewsI've had this place delivered many times and it's always so delicious. Veggie platter for the win. And as a nut-allergy person, I appreciate that they don't use any nuts.
Gina C. Google ReviewsSometimes, you hit the jackpot choosing a restaurant of which you are unfamiliar. This is such a place. I'm pleased to have found this outstanding place.
Dennise Sleeper Google ReviewsGreat and authentic place! Portion sizes are huge and they have a great variety of dishes. Flavor was amazing and the service was great, even for a big party.
